Why become a Flylab member?

Simple. You’re looking to expand and deepen your fly-fishing game, and we can help you get there. We created our member plan to be simple and cost effective. The membership provides access to our exclusive “member deals,” full content archive and direct access to the team for Q&A sessions, where we’ll cover gear, skills, destinations etc.

Can I test out the membership before I sign up?

Absolutely. Right now, we’re running a 7-day free trial, so you can check out our paid content, member community and partner deals.

How did you price the Flylab membership?

We did a bunch of market research and found that the average annual spend for U.S. fly fishermen was ~$1,200. And because our average annual discount is ~23%, we felt like $120 was a bargain for an annual subscription, when you balanced that against the savings from our partner discount program you can access as a member. If you’re an angler in the market for new gear, trips or travel, a Flylab membership should pay for itself in a few purchases. We’ll also be providing members exclusive, paywalled content and direct access to the team for Q&A sessions, where we’ll cover gear, skills, destinations etc.

What’s different about being a Flylab founding member?

Founding members have access to our private community, full library of content and exclusive Q&A sessions, a signed copy of Deeter’s The Little Red Book of Fly Fishing, a limited edition print from photographer Tim Romano, free access to Flylab events and exclusive “founding-member” travel opportunities. I just signed up–where are the discounts?

To access your discounts (after becoming a member), you must sign in to the Flylab community on Substack. After creating an account, navigate to the “paid members” page, and you’ll find all the deals.

How do I access the Flylab community?

Only Flylab members can access the community, and we manage the community on our Substack platform. After signing up and creating an account, you’ll find exclusive content, our community chat and all your deals for flies, gear, travel and more.

How do we become a Flylab partner?

Our best-in-class network of fly shops, outfitters and outdoor brands provide exclusive deals to a growing community of Flylab members. Learn more about the Flylab partner program here.

How do we become a Flylab business affiliate?

If you’re a business, or an existing partner, you should read more about our program here and go through the standard business onboarding process through AvantLink, our affiliate platform.

How do I become a Flylab individual affiliate?

If you’re a fishing guide, influencer or content creator, and you feel like you can help Flylab sell $120 memberships to other fly anglers, you’re probably a good fit for the individual affiliate program. Individual affiliates join our commission platform and send us traffic (with custom links) through their websites, social media, or newsletters. If interested in learning more, send us a note here. Important: Do not apply as an individual affiliate through the business affiliate program. Send us a note through the contact form, and we’ll send over a private link, after you make the cut.

Can we advertise with Flylab?
